This letter was sent to Pastor Bill on the Sunday of the 2010 Tougher Than Hell Weekend from an anonymous author. The letter reads:

Dear Pastor Bill -
Thank you.
I have attended many services over the years & many were "letter worthy" but today's just hit my heart. It was so beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your story. It was hilarius & awesome & so perfect for so many people...most importantly those that came up to the font.
I am crying as I write this & I am not sure why. I think I am just grateful that I am not dead or in prison & that I have got a chance to live for Jesus though I most likely will always have a laundry list of things to work on & improve.
I love that Guts has grown so much. It is a testament to your heart, your family, your staff & God's hand.
You have given so much so often & it is paying off in souls.
I just really want to say thanks, man.
I have never felt judged one time walking in the doors of that place. On the contrary, it is like a spot light of God's love & forgiveness & grace is shining on me, often through you. Its pretty amazing & unexplainable.
Thanks for everything...from the depths, THANKS.
