God's Passion

1101_large

It's interesting to me that through the course of my life, I have been passionate about so many things. Growing up across the river from St. Louis, I loved watching Cardinals football and baseball. Even when their season was terrible, even through the baby blue uniforms in baseball, even when ownership or management made no sense, I was passionate about them. They were my teams.

Then, the football Cardinals moved to Arizona. Wait a minute - the Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals? Are you kidding me? I'm out, I don't know how to root for the Phoenix? Cardinals. I'm passionate about the St. Louis Football Cardinals, this doesn't work for me. I found that there were conditions on my passion. I learned that passion needs to be directed to a very high level of life.

If you think about it for a minute, God has been and is very passionate about us. His Word makes this point very clear. When we had no care in the world for Him, He loved us. Anything messes with His children, He rises up, like a flood. So that, we can overcome no matter what or how big the enemy.
God promises that He always causes us to triumph, always.

Now to me that's passion. He's not just rooting for His children, He's provided a way where there seems to be none.

I'm resolved to being passionate about directing everyone I can to this great salvation God gives, through His Son Jesus.
